The largest plant for armoured vehicles to be built in Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas
On 15 March 2023 the armoured vehicle manufacturer International Armored Group /IAG/ put the beginning of its largest plant for armoured vehicles in the Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas – a joint project between the Municipality of Burgas and the National Company Industrial Zones EAD.
The plant will produce more than 160 types of equipment with the investment amounting to BGN 20 million, resulting in creation of more than 300 work places.
At the “sod turning” ceremony were present the owner of the global manufacturer IAG Mr. Anton Stefov, PhD, the Executive Director of the National Company Industrial Zones EAD Ms Antoaneta Bares, PhD, the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov and the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency Bogdan Bogdanov.
Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas AD is strategic for the Bulgarian and international business by supporting investors at every stage of the implementation of their investment projects. Ms. Bares said: „This investment is further proof that, on the one hand, industrial parks and zones are an effective mechanism for attracting investment and, on the other, that cooperation between the state and the municipality is the best an investor can get when choosing where to locate......this investment also has the potential to create business clustering“.
At the ceremony the IAG owner received a Class “A” Certificate of investment for his investment project, issued under the Investment Promotion Act /IPA/.
