The management of NCIZ and diplomats from the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Bulgaria discussed opportunities for business partnerships
Possible partnerships and the economic and trade relations between China and Bulgaria were discussed at a meeting of the management of National Company for Industrial Zones (NCIZ) with Mr. Kong Lingyu, Economic and Commercial Counsellor, and two other representatives from the Economic and Commercial Affairs Department at the Embassy of the Asian country.
The Executive Director of NCIZ, Mrs. Ognyana Yorgova, welcomed the guests, summarized the company's relations with Chinese companies and institutions, and expressed willingness to support in providing a favorable environment for development of Chinese investments.
Currently, the interests of Chinese business are focused on building photovoltaic complexes, as well as the production of structures for solar panels, explained Mr. Kong.
China is looking for opportunities in helping its large e-commerce platforms to find appropriate locations for building logistics hubs in Bulgaria. An important prerequisite for extending the bilateral trade relations is the availability of direct flights to Bulgaria for the transport of goods. The China-Bulgaria-Belgium connection provides a good opportunity for Chinese goods to enter the European Union markets.
Both parties confirmed their intention to continue cooperation between NCIZ and Chinese industrial zones, as in 2025 there will be opportunities for experience exchange at an expert level.
The Embassy expressed a desire to extend the Memorandum of Cooperation between NCIZ and the Zhejiang Cixi Coastal Economic Development Zone, as well as to create a new partnership between the company and a large economic zone in central China.
