The Higher School of Transport in Sofia turning themselves against the shortage of qualified workers

‘Todor Kableshkov’ University of Transport joined the group of universities, part of the project Fast Tracking Success.

Th executive director of NCIZ, Antoaneta Bares and the Chancellor of the school Prof. Dr. Daniela Todorova signed a memorandum for cooperation on 27th February. Both parties agreed to support each other in preparing young people and offering them a chance for further qualification through options for internships and permanent employment in companies that cooperate with NCIZ.

The University and NCIZ consolidated their efforts to fight against the youth unemployment and shortage of qualified specialists in some key.

The purpose of the initiative by NCIZ - Fast Tracking Success was to support some present investors as well as some new ones in the public industrial zones and in this way the challenge-the shortage of qualified specialists that the investment projects face, will be overcome.

In the zones included in the portfolio of the NCIZ there are some already working factories, storage spaces, logistic centers, high-tech business firms from Germany, Greece, Denmark, Austria, Turkey and Israel as well as some that are about to be built.

The total sum of all of the negotiated investments in the industrial zones from the very first beginning until now exceeds 390 million leva, there are over 2100 new work positions available and more than 130 Bulgarian and foreign firms – investors and people, who hold leases over different industrial areas, have received support for further development of their business initiatives.
