The biggest armoured vehicles plant in Bulgaria opens in Burgas
The biggest plant in Bulgaria for construction of armoured vehicles of the Bulgarian branch of the company "International Armored Group" was opened in the Industrial and logistics park Burgas In the presence of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Rumen Radev, the Deputy-Minister of the Ministry for Economy and Industry Mr. David Sukalinski, PhD, the Mayor of Burgas Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, representatives of the “National Company Industrial Zones” EAD /NCIZ/ EAD and other officials and guests. The plant will produce over 160 types of military technique, involving mainly Bulgarian specialists in this field. Initial investments are expected to exceed BGN 20 million, creating more than 300 jobs.
This is the first investment of IAG BG in Bulgaria, realized on industrial plot part of the NCIZ’s portfolio, under the Investment Promotion Act /IPA/, with the investor being certified with an investment class A. This summer, the company purchased a second plot of land near the town of Simitli under the terms of the IPA, with the investment expected to amount to BGN 5 million, resulting to creation of 25 new jobs.
Founded by the Bulgarian Mr. Anton Stefov, International Armorеd Group is among the leaders in the production of fully protected armoured vehicles worldwide. The company provides specialised machines for state organizations such as UN and NATO and has production bases all over the world. The company will produce various types of armoured vehicles at its plant in Burgas according to NATO standards, drones for rescue, reconnaissance and emergency missions, light patrol vehicles, etc.
