The 2020 German Economy Awards were presented through an online ceremony
The German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, presented for the 17th time, the Awards of the German Economy for 2020 at an online ceremony.
The prestigious jury, which determined the winners, includes the executive director of the National Company Industrial Zones, Antoaneta Bares. The German Economy Award annually distinguishes companies that have contributed to the development of German-Bulgarian economic relations in the previous year. The purpose of the prize is to contribute to the further development of German-Bulgarian economic relations and to motivate companies to establish business contacts with German partners. The award was presented in four categories: Large Enterprise, Small and Medium Enterprise, Social Commitment and Startup Company.
"In the midst of any crisis, there is a great opportunity! We are getting stronger and better and we are focusing our attention on new horizons ", said at the opening of the online ceremony Dr. Mitko Vassilev, General Manager of GBITC.
In the "Large Enterprise" category, Voss Automotive won the award. In Small and Medium Enterprises, the prize went to Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas, which is a joint project of the NCIZ and the Municipality of Burgas. In the category for "Social engagement" - successful projects engaged in social activities, won SAP Labs Bulgaria, and in the Startup-company - Lam’on Ltd.
Martin Kotee, Regional Director of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, hosted the German Economic Awards ceremony. Among those attending the online event were Claudia Györ-Foss, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, Christoph Eichhoppi, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bulgaria, Elena Shekerletova, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Germany and others.
