Participation of NCIZ in the ninth edition of the Annual Conference “Strategic Infrastructure Bulgaria 2014”
On March 27th, 2014, at Sofia Event Center, Sofia, Bulgaria was held the ninth edition of theAnnual Conference “Strategic Infrastructure Bulgaria 2014” where the executive director of National Company Industrial Zone PLC, Mr. Atanas Nenov took participation.
The Conference “Strategic Infrastructure Bulgaria ”, organized by The City Media Group, is the one of the most influential conference in the field of strategic infrastructure in Bulgaria. The event provided a high-level platform through which the public sector and institutions, leading companies in the sector and experts communicated and discussed trends, policies and strategies in the planning, financing, construction and development of strategic infrastructure projects in Bulgaria and the region.
Among the official guest list of the Conference were representatives from the responsible ministries – Ms. Desislava Terzieva, Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Petar Kirov, deputy minister of the Transport, Information technology and communications, Mr. Atanas Kostadinov, deputy minister of the Ministry of environment and water, Mr. Anton Ginev, deputy minister of the Ministry of the Transport, Information technology and communications, representatives from the Ministry of Economy and energy and the Ministry of Investment Design. Other guests of the Conference were representatives of the state agencies and commissions, mayors and representatives of municipalities, construction companies, investors and investment funds, leading companies of production sector.
The main highlights of the Conference were put on the strategic infrastructure Bulgaria – priorities 2014 – 2020, transport and transport infrastructure ‘Bulgaria 2014 – 2020’ – priorities and challenges, modernization of railroad infrastructure, road infrastructure – projects 2014, PPP in Bulgarian strategic infrastructure projects, industrial infrastructure – strategic key factor for development of Bulgarian economy and reforms in the Bulgarian water sector.
During the 5th Panel which covered the area of the industrial infrastructure as a strategic key factor for development of the Bulgarian economy, the executive director of National Company Industrial Zones PLC, Mr. Atanas Nenov presented National Company Industrial Zones activities and its’ projects and outlined the specific actions that the company follows in order to develop industrial infrastructure. During the presentation, Mr. Nenov highlighted some of the challenges for National Company Industrial Zones PLC while establishing an outside services and core infrastructure in some of the zones. In addition, he emphasized the factors that influence on the decision making process of the investors when they choose investment location for their projects and also presented the opportunities for partnership with NCIZ industrial zones.
