Over 20 applications for investment projects were sent to NCIZ

Over 20 applications have been sent to the National Company Industrial Zones PLC, claimed the executive director of the company Antoaneta Bares. Those applications have been primarily about the Economic Zone Sofia- Bozhurishte and since the start of this year an increasing interest towards the industrial zones in Vidin and Ruse could be observed, pointed out she in the morning television show ‘’Good morning, Bulgaria’’ of Focus Radio.

Bares commented that a crucial factor which affects the choice of particular investment environment, except the location and infrastructure, is the availability of workforce. Already 10 memorandums for cooperation have been signed with universities in the whole country, but now the company intends to cooperate with the naval academies as well as with the university in Veliko Tarnovo. There are some plans for joint work between NCIZ and some of the professional high schools in the future.

The company already started working on its tenth project in its portfolio- that is Industrial Zone Kardzhali, which is covering around 95 decares of land, added Bares. Since February NCIZ is co-working and with Municipality of Stara Zagora. The local authority there offers a plot covering 115 decares of land, suited near the highway and which could be turned into an industrial area in future.

‘’ A lot of new initiatives will be implemented, we work intensively with regional governors, and have signed memorandums with them and they provided the necessary information about the industrial terrains on their territory’’, claimed Bares. She added to her speech that the world-wide established car manufacturer Hyundai has been invited to carry out its project activities in Bulgaria- the terrain that has been offered for that purpose was the one of the airport in Ravnetz near Burgas.

Antoaneta Bares told everything about the participation of NCIZ at the event of the initiative’’16+1’’ which was at the end of the previous week. The company signed a memorandum for cooperation with China Centre for Information Industry Development at the 7th Meeting of the leaders of the Governments of Central and Eastern Europe as well as China. The idea was the building and managing of public services platform ‘’Digital road of the silk’’.

‘’As a firm that is used as an instrument for attracting more foreign investments and for expanding the investment volume in Bulgarian companies, we think that we could be useful for encouraging the Chinese investments in our country’’, explained Bares.

NCIZ was presented also at the business forum which gathered together more than 200 Chinese companies and 600 businessmen from Central and Eastern Europe.

‘’The National Company took part in the discussion, dedicated to the high-tech technology and investments, industrial partnership and mixed mode manufacturing facilities’’, clarified Bares and said that the opportunities for investments in industrial zones also the investment climate in Bulgaria have been discussed.
