NCIZ took part in an investment forum European Union-Serbia
The representatives from National Company Industrial Zone PLC as well as the executive director Antoaneta Bares took part in the business forum EU-Serbia 2018’’BUSINESS EVENT: INVESTMENT, GROWTH AND JOB CREATION’’, which was in Belgrade this year under the aegis of the European Parliament. The inauguration was held by the President of the European Parliament - Antonio Tajani.
The 6 month long rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, which Bulgaria held at the beginning of the year, is an opportunity for Brussel to continue with the improvement of the relationship between Serbia and the rest of the countries from the Balkans. That was the comment of the head of the European Parliament. He drew the attention to the necessity of maintaining the business and the investment relation between the countries from the EU and the Western Balkans.
‘’The EU recognizes Serbia as an important country regarding the economic cooperation’’, said Antonio Tajani and he hopes that Belgrade will receive a little help in solving the issue about the youth unemployment.
During the forum, a couple of contracts have been signed aiming to implement some of the key infrastructure projects, among which are those about the reconstruction and modernization of the Trans-European railway corridor between Sicevo and Dimitrovgrad (near the Serbian-Bulgarian boundary). The project will cost 268 million Euro, unconditional funding on the part of the European Union will be provided for those purposes and it is part of the strategy for improving the relationship between the Western Balkans and the EU.
The seminar in Belgrade was organized by Enterprise Europe Network together with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. More than 220 firms and organizations from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Bulgaria visited that event.
