NCIZ took part in a Regional Seminar "Toward Innovation-led Economy"
On September 18, 2023, a Regional Seminar „Toward Innovation-led Economy“ was held in Belgrade under the Korean Government's Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP), jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea, The Korea Development Institute, the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Belgrade.
The seminar was opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Serbia, Lee Jaewoong, and the Head of the Working Group on Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea, Sohn Woong-Ki. Over 100 delegates took part, including officials and experts from European partner countries such as Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Armenia and Albania. The representative of NCIZ introduced the audience to the successfully completed project „Strategic transformation into innovative and digital industrial parks in Bulgaria“. The presentation showed the NCIZ’s experience of participating in the project, emphasizing the background, progress and potential areas for further development after its completion.
The main goal of KSP is to contribute to sustainable economic and social development as well as the general prosperity of the international community by providing customized policy recommendations to partner countries based on Korea's economic development experience and knowledge.
The participants discussed trends and challenges in future major industries such as biotechnology and green energy, and agreed on the need to expand knowledge-based cooperation projects between Korea and Europe.
