NCIZ signed a memorandum for cooperation with Stara Zagora Municipality

The memorandum for cooperation for building new industrial zone, named ’Zagore’ and located in Stara Zagora, was signed by the executive director of NCIZ Antoaneta Bares and the major of Municipality Stara Zagora- Zhivko Todorov.

The Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov and the administrative manager Gergana Mikova showed up at the ceremony for signing the memorandum.

‘’We have plans to build an industrial zone following a modern European model with infrastructure built in advance”, claimed the Minister Karanikolov and mentioned that the investors pay attention to three factors – location, work force and infrastructure. Stara Zagora offers good location and workers, but the question about the third factor regarding the infrastructure will be solved in the near future, promised the Minister Karanikolov. He said that potential investors from the car industry have made an inquiry about the new industrial terrain just a day ago.

The executive director of NCIZ confirmed that there is a great interest for investing in Bulgaria. ’’Up to this moment we are leading negotiations with 18 potential investors whereas 6 out of them have reached a further stage of progress. At the meeting this morning with the potential investors NCIZ offered the industrial zone in Stara Zagora”, commented Bares. According to her, the cooperation with the municipalities is a two-way process and depends on the interest by the investors and on the availability of well-maintained state terrains.

The major of Stara Zagora - Zhivko Todorov, announce that the Municipality offers a terrain covering 115 decares of land, located in the city district Zora. There is a good public transport connection near the area and electricity, water, gas and drainage were provided as well very close to the boundaries of the zone.

The Municipal Council in Stara Zagora has supported the decision for creating the Auctioneers association for building of the zone.
