NCIZ founds digital hub in IP Sofia – Bozhurishte
The „National Company Industrial Zones“ (NCIZ) EAD is going to build a Regional Hub for digital solutions and innovations on the territory of the Sofia-Bozhuriste Industrial Park.
The project is worth over BGN 6 million and the funds will be provided under the “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation” programme after the state-owned company and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth signed a contract.
The aim is to build an innovative digital infrastructure to serve the companies – investors in the park, as well as the future entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, scientists, citizens and the regional administration.
The creation of a virtual reality laboratory will enable all users to have a 3D laser visualization of buildings, machines and new products before they are put on the market, or the so called pre- investment testing.
The project will stimulate innovation and the implementation of new technologies in the work process, increasing the technological potential of the companies using the digital services.
The deadline for the construction of the digital hub is 36 months.
The signing of the contract is a success for the NCIZ which has already started the procedure in 2021.
The Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park is a priority project of the NCIZ that has already attracted 42 investors from the country and abroad in various economic sectors, including automotive, high-tech, warehousing and logistics.
The industrial park’s area of 3 million sq. m., offers plots with established infrastructure with opportunities for power and water supply, domestic and storm water drainage, gasification, optics.
