NCIZ EAD attracts investment for production of specialized military equipment near Simitli
An investment project of International Armored Group BG EOOD /IAG BG/, the Bulgarian subsidiary of the global manufacturer of military and specialized equipment International Armorеd Group, will be implemented in the municipality of Simitli. The project envisages the construction of a plant for high-tech manufacturing of more than 100 types of specialized logistic combat and tactic machines – armoured vehicles for the army, police, emergency medical services, special forces, etc.
The establishment of such an enterprise in Bulgaria is a strategic step for the military industry of national and European importance. The investment amounts to BGN 5 million which will result in the creation of 25 jobs. This is the second investment of IAG BG in Bulgaria, implemented on industrial land, purchased from the National Company Industrial Zones EAD under the Investment Promotion Act, as the investor is certified with investment class A. In March 2023, the company made the first sod of its plant near Burgas, realized on land purchased from Industrial and Logistics Park – Burgas, in which the NCIZ is a majority shareholder, where production of more than 160 types of specialized military equipment is expected to begin in October this year.
