NCIZ announces positive financial result for the 4th quarter of 2024
In the 4th quarter of 2024 the “National Company Industrial Zones” EAD achieved a positive financial result due to the signed agreements for the sale of investment properties. The Company has achieved the indicators of its approved business programme.
The main objectives and priorities of NCIZ EAD in 2025, related to the Sofia - Bojurishte Industrial Park, are the construction of a suitable feeder road and internal infrastructure in this part of the park, which is not yet fully constructed, as well as the provision of additional power supply capacity in the Park.
Forthcoming is the construction of an entirely new substation on the territory of the Industrial park, with a request for investigation of the conditions for connection to the electricity grid of a facility of NCIZ EAD with a capacity of 50 MW and a connected capacity of 60 MW.
A completely new substation is to be constructed on the territory of Industrial Park Sofia-Bozhurishte, and as a result of the meetings held in January 2025, a request was submitted to ESO EAD to study the conditions for connection to the power grid of a site of NCIZ EAD with a capacity of 50 MW and a connected capacity of 60 MW.
The development of the industrial parks and zones of the NCIZ portfolio, located in Northern Bulgaria continues to be among the strategic objectives of the Company. For the purpose in October and November 2024, working visits were made to Vidin Industrial Park and Pleven-Telish Industrial Park with potential investors from the Netherlands, Poland and Turkey in the automotive, food and construction industries.
In the fourth quarter of last year, the implementation of two projects with EU funding started:
- Energy renovation of buildings in Vidin Industrial Park through the implementation of energy-saving measures to ensure energy and financial savings and
- the "Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation" 2021-2027 programme for the implementation of the RCDSI NCIZ project, 101083370, in the Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park, awarded with the "Seal of Excellence" by the European Commission under the DIGITAL-2021-EDIH-01-European Digital Innovation Hubs procedure of the Digital Europe Programme, which will serve investor companies as well as future entrepreneurs, researchers, scientists and citizens.
Despite the global economic downturn, NCIZ EAD continues to work actively to maintain appropriate conditions for the development of the industrial parks of its portfolio, as well as to attract domestic and foreign investment.
