NCIZ and the University of Rousse signed a memorandum for cooperation

National Company Industrial Zones PLC and ‘’Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse signed a memorandum for cooperation in regards to the accelerated professional preparation of young people who are still studying or are graduating. The NCIZ’s initiative is part of the Fast Tracking Success project that offers a range of internships and permanent work positions in companies, cooperating with NCIZ.

At the official ceremony in the University of Ruse, the executive director of NCIZ Antoaneta Bares and the Chancellor of the university – Prof. Dr Velizara Pencheva signed a memorandum. ‘’The purpose of the memorandum is to connect the business sector with the university’’, claimed the executive director Antoaneta Bares after signing the memorandum. According to her, the project is highly ambitious, because except the present co-work with universities, theu intend to start partnerships with professional high schools.

‘’Until now we have established partnerships with Sofia University, Technical University, the University of National and World Economy, New Bulgarian University, University of Forestry, now with The University of Ruse as well. We intend to sign memorandums with universities in Shumen, Varna, Burgas and Veliko Tarnovo. Our ambition is to start a partnership with  professional high schools, because the investors are looking for workforce that owns knowledge in diverse sectors’’, added Bares.

The purpose of the initiative Fast Tracking Success is to support present and new investors in the industrial zones, owned by NCIZ and to fight against one of the most challenging tasks- the shortage of qualified workers.

In the zones, included in the portfolio of NCIZ, work or build their factories, storehouses, logistic centers, high-tech technological offices, firms from Germany, Greece, Denmark, Austria, Turkey, Israel etc.  All of the investments that have been made are exceeding 390 million leva (that was recorded up to the end of the previous year) and the expected number of new working positions is 2100. More than 130 Bulgarian and foreign firms- investors and leaseholders in different zones have received support for the development of their businesses.
