NCIZ and Burgas Municipality Unlock New Opportunities: 8 Companies Launch Investments in the Industrial Zone

Eight investors have already been attracted and have paid advance deposits for plots in the new Phase 2 of the Burgas Industrial and Logistics Park. This was announced during the official opening of the newly completed infrastructure in the zone. A further 20 plots remain available.

The companies operate in sectors including food production, windows and doors manufacturing, furniture production, electrical systems, and others.

The park is a joint project of the National Company Industrial Zones EAD (NCIZ), under the Ministry of Economy, Investment and Industry, and Burgas Municipality.

The Phase 2 development project is valued at more than EUR 20 million and has been financed by the European Union through Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, according to Petar Ivanov, Director of the Burgas Industrial and Logistics Park.

As part of the project, a road network has been constructed to provide access to each individual plot within the industrial park. Bicycle lanes and water supply and sewerage infrastructure have also been developed, including a potable water supply network, an industrial water pipeline, stormwater drainage and a sanitary sewerage system.

Infrastructure for power and low-voltage networks has also been installed, along with a pumping station, while a comprehensive video surveillance system has been deployed throughout the zone. Landscaping of the area is also planned.

Phase 2 is no longer merely a fully prepared site for prospective investors, as actual construction works are already beginning on some of the plots, Ivanov said.

South Industrial Zone (Phase 2) is located close to the Burgas shipyards and the road connection to the Meden Rudnik residential district. The zone offers opportunities for the development of larger-scale enterprises, as the available properties range in size from 20 to 150 decares (approximately 2 to 15 hectares) and can be reconfigured to meet investors’ specific requirements.
