National Company Industrial Zones PLC and Municipality of Vratsa signed a memorandum for cooperation
The executive director of National Company Industrial Zones Antoaneta Bares and the Major of Vratsa – Kalin Kamenov signed a memorandum for cooperation. Among all of the people that were present at the event were also the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov and the administrative director Malina Nikolova. The aim of the agreement is to promote some of the terrains in Vratsa Province, which are suitable for investment projects, to potential investors so that new investment initiatives to be launched.
‘’It is really competitive to attract investors to your business. In order to succeed, we offer that kind of industrial zones that are offered around Europe. The state will fund the building of good infrastructure in estates that are either public-owned or are private ones. Applying this method of work, a newly built and modernized industrial bases, which will enable the immediate start of particular work activities there, will be provided, commented the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov. He is sure that the memorandum for cooperation is a crucial step towards the co-work that will attract more investors in the region.
The Minister admired the presence of the representatives of the educational sector. ‘’The second most common question asked by investors is about the level of professional qualification in the region. I want to sent my greetings to Mr Kamenov for working in that direction’’, added the Minister Karanikolov.
The executive director of NCIZ Antoaneta Bares pointed out that a current priority is to attract more investors in the region. ‘’We congratulate you for the efforts to unify the local and state authority. That will give an opportunity for a fast track to investors’’, claimed Mrs Bares.
The Major of Vratsa Kalin Kamenov mentioned that Municipality of Vratsa is a business partner which takes part in the process aimed to attract more investors. ’’In the last two years my team and I put a lot of effort to make that happen. One of the first steps was the creation of marketing profile, representing the business opportunities in the city. Through sociologic research made by an independent agency, we managed to identify the methods that will bring people, working in adjoining regions, back to the city. Without any doubt the greatest success so far was the renovation of the industrial zones in Vratsa. Thanks to the support by the Government, 2 million leva were funded for building road infrastructure which helped the renovation of 6 streets in the industrial area’’, commented the major Kamenov.
He explained that the municipality owns 10 properties with surface covering between 4 and 83 decares of land and which partly belong to the municipality and could be given for rent or sale to Bulgarian investors or to foreign ones. 5 from the identified terrains are located near each other and could be turned into a business area covering above 200 decares of land. The properties are connected with electricity, water supply and sewage. Near some of the estates a gas-main has been provided as well.
