National Company Industrial Zones (NCIZ) and Sofia University - Faculty of Economics and Business Administration will cooperate in the new Fast-tracking Success initiative for career advancement of young people

NCIZ will cooperate with Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridsky" in order to achieve accelerated professional development of young specialists. The cooperation will be realized within the "Fast Tracking Success" project of NCIZ, for which an official agreement was signed between Antoaneta Bares, Executive Director of NCIZ, Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov, Rector of Sofia University and Assoc. Prof. Teodor Sedlarsky, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The initiative aims to provide students with opportunities for internships and permanent employment in the foreign companies which are situated in the zones managed by National Company Industrial Zones. The aim of the project is to solve permanently one of the most pressing problems that foreign investors and business in general face - the shortage of qualified workers.

National Company Industrial Zones has recently started the project and three of the leading universities in the country – University of National and World Economy, New Bulgarian University and University of Forestry – Sofia have already joined it. It is expected agreements for cooperation will be signed with the University of Mining and Geology "St. Ivan Rilsky"- Sofia as well as with the Technical University - Sofia.

"Fast Tracking Success" is an initiative that will be implemented on national level and it will contribute to reducing youth unemployment also on a regional level. NCIZ develops 9 projects on the territory of the country, six of which are fully operational - three free zones in Vidin, Ruse and Svilengrad, Sofia - Bozhurishte Economic Zone, Industrial and Logistic Park - Bourgas and Transit Trade Zone - Varna. Some of the investors in these zones have already expanded their projects and are looking for new staff.
