"Multivak" launched their factory in Economic Zone Sofia- Bozhurishte

At an official ceremony today in Economic Zone Sofia- Bozhurishte, the new factory for vacuum packaging owned by the German company Multivak, which has chosen Bulgaria and NCIZ for their investments, has been launched.

At the opening ceremony were invited the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Minister of the Economy, Energetics and Technology of Bavaria – Hans Josef Pschierer, the Vice- minister of Economy – Aleksandar Manolev, the executive director of the NCIZ- Mrs Antoaneta Bares, the High representative of Multivak as well as the Bavarian delegation, headed by minister Pschierer.

“To see the Bulgarian flag side by side to the one of Germany and the EU makes me truly happy. The reason for that is that the great number of German companies which invest into Bulgaria, are family- run firms such as Multivak. They are the spine of the German economy’’, said the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov at the opening ceremony. According to the words of the Prime Minister the Economic Zone Bozhurishte has gone through impressive development since its foundation, has overcome the initial difficulties which were present at the time of the infrastructure’s building and today it looks like a newly built city.

The Vice- minister of Economy – Aleksandar Manolev, emphasized how much effort the NCIZ team needed in order to achieve fast growth in the area of Bozhurishte and to attract many new investors. By using data from the German-Bulagrian Trade Palace, according which the Germany has found good conditions for making business in Bulgaria and that 90 per cent of the German companies which develop their business here, would invest again in our country. ‘’It is important to point out that those companies have already invested over 3 billon leva in the Bulgarian economy in the last years’’, added Manolev.

 

‘’The interest towards the NCIZ ’zones and especially towards the Economic Zone Sofia- Bozhurishte is extremely big. We have signed contract with 22 companies, part of which are already working and other 20 have expressed their willingness to make investments ‘’, commented the executive director of NCIZ Antoaneta Bares at the opening ceremony.

The Economic Zone Sofia – Bozhurishte has the fastest expansion from all of the 10 projects of the NCIZ, which the company runs in different locations on the territory of the country.

From the foundation of the Economic Zone Sofia – Bozhurishte until this moment, 22 investors have been attracted; moreover, 3 certain contracts and one draft, certified by the statute for encouraging the investments, have been concluded only during the first quarter of 2018.

On its territory work companies from Bulgaria, Denmark and Greece in the field of car manufacturing industry, high technology, storage business and logistics. All of the investments been made are exceeding 350 million leva and the expected number of new working positions is 1100.
