Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas AD reports progress on the implementation of a strategic infrastructure project

Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas AD, a joint project between the National Company Industrial Zones EAD and Burgas Municipality, reports significant progress in implementation of the project “Investments in the development of industrial park Burgas”, funded under Contract No. BG-RRP-3.007-0004-C01 under procedure BG-RRP-3.007 "Program for public support for the development of industrial areas, parks, and similar territories and for attracting investments (AttractInvestBG)," within the priority axis "Smart Industry" of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan.

 The project is related to the construction of Phase 2 of the Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas, located in the territory of the South-West Industrial Zone. The construction activities are carried out on an area of over 140 acres of public infrastructure properties and include:

- Infrastructure for the needs of the area - reconstruction of Targovska Street, street lighting, and storm drainage; - Internal infrastructure within the boundaries of the industrial zone - water supply and sewerage networks, street lighting, pipelines for the electrical supply of individual properties, street network, and internal roads.

- Internal infrastructure within the industrial zone - water supply and sewerage networks, street lighting, pipelines for the electrical supply of individual properties, street network, network of bicycle lanes and roadside landscaping, video surveillance system.

The total investment amounts to BGN 39 193 098.65, of which BGN 25 729 605.23 is non-repayable financial assistance under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

 “This project is a clear example how the joint efforts between the state, municipalities and the business can create real conditions for the economy and improve the investment climate in Bulgaria”, said the Executive Director of the NCIZ Angel Tanev.

“With the realization of Phase 2 we are not only expanding the capacity of the industrial zone, but also building а modern, sustainable and competitive infrastructure which will attract new investors and expand the opportunities for employment and development of the region“.

Phase 2 offers investment opportunities on an area of 450 acres with prime communication and transport connectivity. The overall construction of the necessary road, water and sewer and inner technical infrastructure ensures sustainable management of the territory with care for nature and contribution to the quality of the urban environment.
