Angel Tanev: The Construction of Industrial Park Burgas is proceeding according to plan
. During the visit, he was satisfied that the construction works were being carried out on time and according to the approved schedule.
The construction of the park is progressing at a rapid pace on a site of over 14 hectares in the South-West industrial zone. The project is being implemented by Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas AD in partnership with the Municipality of Burgas and is financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Its total value is just over 39 million leva, of which over 25.7 million leva are grants.
On the territory of the second phase of the industrial park is being built public infrastructure, including the reconstruction of Targovska Street, electric street-lighting and rainwater sewers, as well as an internal water supply network, electricity supply, road and bicycle infrastructure, landscaping and video surveillance. After its completion, the industrial zone will have a total area of 45 hectares for investments and improved communication connectivity.
“The construction works are proceeding according to plan and the pace is good. It is important the project to be implemented properly and on time in order to provide modern infrastructure and good conditions for new investors,” said Angel Tanev.
The project is a key element of the Integrated Development Plan of the Municipality of Burgas until 2027, with an emphasis on technological innovations and the promotion of economic activity. The implementation of the second phase is expected to create over 700 new jobs and to attract strategic investors to the region.
Within the first phase of the project, the infrastructure in the "North" industrial zone was fully built, where 40 investors already work and have located their production bases.
