Angel Tanev: Schengen unlocks new opportunities for industrial zones

The Executive Director of NCIZ took part in the 5th International conference for industrial sites and warehousing
The Executive Director of the “National Company Industrial Zones EAD (NCIZ) Angel Tanev participated at the Fifth International Conference on industrial and warehouse properties, organized by the platform of BGSKLAD. The event took place at the Inter Expo Center – Sofia and got together leading representatives from the industrial and logistics sector, investors and experts from Bulgaria and abroad.
The main focus of the conference was on the effects on industrial and logistics infrastructure after Bulgari’s accession to Schengen. During his discussion panel Mr. Tanev emphasized the importance of NCIZ as a strategic partner of the business and an engine of industrial transformation.
„Bulgaria's accession to Schengen will facilitate transport links, limit logistical costs and increase the country's attractiveness for investors. That’s why our company’s main focus is on the infrastructural development of the industrial parks, improving the conditions in some of them due to the changed needs of investors as well as facilitating and speeding up all administrative procedures“, Tanev said.
The forum also focused on the need to develop high-tech industrial zones, digitalization and strategic planning to support sustainable industrial development. NCIZ is actively involved in these processes through the management of 13 industrial zones in the country and of projects such as the Regional Centre for Digital Solutions and Innovation in the Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park.
