Angel Tanev Attends the "Investor of the Year" Ceremony
The Executive Director of NCIZ Mr. Angel Tanev attended the “Investor of the Year 2025” ceremony, held on April 27 at Hyatt Regency Sofia.
For 20th consecutive year the Bulgarian Investment Agency honoured /BIA/ the most significant investment projects in the country. The anniversary edition also marked the BIA’s 30th anniversary. The event was attended by over 300 representatives of the business community, institutions and the diplomatic corps.
Event’s special guest was the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mrs. Iliana Yotova, who presented the honorary award to mark the 30th anniversary of the Agency’s founding. The grand prize, “Investor of the Year 2025,” was awarded to BTL Industries Bulgaria. The company made an investment of €51 million in a new production centre in Plovdiv, creating over 700 new jobs.
During the event companies were recognized in various categories for investment projects completed in 2025, with a focus on innovation, human capital development, regional development and sustainable business practices.
