A new investment of 45 million euros in the Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park
The Danish furniture and bedding retailer JYSK is investing 45 million euros in Industrial Park Sofia-Bozhurishte, managed by the National Company Industrial Zones EAD (NCIZ).
Today JYSK has broken ground on its third highly automated warehouse tower in its distribution centre. Thus the total invested amount by the company in the Industrial park will exceed 164 million euros.
The ground breaking ceremony was attended by the Minister of Economy and Industry Ms. Irina Shtonova, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Mr. Nikolay Naydenov, H.E. Flemming Stender, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Bulgaria, Mr. Ole Thomsen, Executive Vice President of Logistics at JYSK, Mr. Angel Tanev, Executive Director of NCIZ, and others.
The new facility will increase the base’s capacity by nearly 50%, bringing the total area of the logistics centre to 116 000 sq. meters. Open in 2018, JYSK distribution centre in Bulgaria has been servicing more than 304 stores on the Balkan Peninsula, together with all physical and online deliveries for Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and Romania, as well as franchise stores in different countries.
